Jumping high is something every basketball player should perfect. This is fairly commonly accepted. Just give your legs the rest they require several days out of the week. You’ll probably need that rest as well. You won’t instantly be able to leap higher; improvement will only come through progress and extensive work. Also, be sure to take breaks and days off once in a while when vertical jump training.
Taking in sufficient protein in your diet is also necessary to develop muscle. You can consume protein supplements, or naturally through cereals, nuts and grains. However, you might have to eat sufficient fat and carbohydrates in order to maintain the best physical form. You might be able to get advice from a dietician that your club can refer you to. Provided you take sufficient steps to maintain health, you can train as hard as you like.
